What's A "Million Dollar Meal"?

A "Million Dollar Meal" in Rotary is no meal at all, but a way to give to the Rotary Foundation, with its mission of changing lives locally and globally. The Million Dollar Meal concept was started in 1959 by a club in our district (Stoughton). It is now an established part of Rotary International fundrasing for The Rotary Foundation.

The Rotary Club of Sharon typically has one Million Dollar Meal per year, taking place on a date of the sitting Club President's choosing. There is no meeting on that day, but instead a portion of annual club dues are specially allocated. Our Million Dollar Meal proceeds go to The Rotary Foundation.

In lieu of a club meeting, we traditionally gather for a potluck BBQ which lets us all "feel like a million!"
