New Families
Supporting new families
On Saturday, May 18th, members of the Rotary Club of Sharon had the privilege of driving New Families of the community to the 6th Annual Haitian American Business Expo and Job Fair in Hyde Park. The Town of Sharon loaned a large transport van which one of the Rotarians drove and the rest of the New Families were shuttled in Rotarians' vehicles.
The event was hosted by the US Haitian Chamber of Commerce and provided attendees with the opportunity to connect with local businesses and hiring agencies, and to build relationships with small business owners.
Among notable guests was US Representative Ayanna Pressley who spoke to the audience.
Sharon, MA Rotarians enjoyed meeting new members of our community and being able to provide a ride to those who otherwise did not have access to transportation that day!
